Since 1922 Petley-Hare Limited has been providing Insurance and Financial Solutions to clients in the Durham Region and throughout Ontario. For over 80 years, the staff at Petley-Hare Limited has been helping families and business protect against loss.

Established originally in 1922, Jim Hare purchased the brokerage from Olive Petley, daughter of the founder, in 1963. The firm was renamed Petley-Hare Limited at that time. In 1971, son David joined his dad after spending time in the company ranks as an underwriter and eventually purchased the firm.

Over time, eight Durham Region brokerages were purchased, one of which was located in Bowmanville thereby establishing a branch office in that town.

Today Petley-Hare employees are committed to providing clients with prompt and personal after sales service. A 24 – 7 claims service line, guarantees that client emergencies are handled professionally on the first call.
